Foremost is seeking a full-time Field Safety Coordinator, based out of field site camps out of the Lloydminster facility. Please note that these are Camp jobs running 14/7.

Following the Health, Safety and Environmental requirements, Hazard Assessments and Safety Work Standards, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating, and monitoring health, safety, and environmental standards of Foremost and/or standards based on customer requirements for project sites.


You will also:

• Report all incidents and follow all first aid and medical requirements for Foremost and the project site;
• Provide reports on project sites to be submitted to the Loss Prevention Department for review and comment; and
• Ensure the timely completion and thoroughness of all loss prevention reporting requirements.

In addition to having your National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) accreditation (or working towards it) you have 3 years of experience specific to safety coordination at field construction sites.


The following tickets are essential:

• CSTS or PST;
• H2S;
• WHMIS and TDG;
• OSSA confined space training; and
• OSSA Fall Protection.

You are well-versed at managing conflict and with training others (supervisors/foremen) on how to use/understand related legislative reference material. You also have good working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulation, and Code.


Outstanding communication skills (both verbally and written) are essential, as are basic computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Projects, etc). You must be willing to complete a drug and alcohol test prior to employment. An OSSA Power Mobile Equipment Training ticket would be highly desirable.

About the Opportunity
Currently, High Prairie School Division No. 48 is searching for a Safety Officer to work from their Central Office in High Prairie, AB.
With the overall goal of managing and coordinating all aspects of the school division's Health and Safety program, you can expect your daily activities to include:

• Coordinating all matters related to Occupational Health and Safety at all school division sites and schools;
• Overseeing all policies, processes and procedures related to internal and external risk management;
• Overseeing school/site Emergency Response Plans and act as Emergency Operations Center Director for the Division; and
• Lead the District Safety Committee.

To qualify, you will need related experience in the field of workplace safety or risk management. Applicants must have completed the standard First Aid Certificate, have knowledge of Local/Provincial/Federal Codes and standards, and have experience in building maintenance standards and procedures.
Preference will be given to candidates who have a post secondary education in a related field and certification as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC).
Employment will be contingent on an acceptable Criminal Record check (less than 6 months old).
