Our client, a 100% subsidiary of a well-established Automotive manufacturing company, is searching for an experienced Health and Safety Supervisor. The incumbent will prevent workplace incidents by identifying the current safety issues and develop countermeasures, ensuring workers follow the safety regulations.
POSITION: HEALTH AND SAFETY SUPERVISOR (Full Time – 1 year Contract)
LOCATION: North of Toronto, Ontario
SUMMARY
You will be responsible for:
Monitoring and ensuring the workers follow safety regulations.
Identifying current or potential safety issues in a hazardous manufacturing environment.
Enforcing the regulations from the Health and Safety handbook and other legislations/regulations.
Implementing preventative hazard controls, including signs/posters/guards.
Assessing the effectiveness of the safety regulations and controls.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have work experience as a Health & Safety Supervisor.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing (raw material) environment.
Self-motivated professional, who is capable of identifying and correcting unsafe worker practices.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral/written).
Strong leadership.
