About the Opportunity
Quinsam Coal Corporation is seeing a dynamic individual to take safety and environmental excellence to the next level through organizational culture change.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a self-motivated professional with a proven track record in building and maintaining Health and Safety systems and initiatives to take ownership of developing the new culture. You will be responsible for forming close working relationships with all levels of managers, employees and industry stakeholders.
Duties will involve:
Training others on conducting accident investigations, including root cause analysis;
Providing leadership to ensure continuous improvement in Health and Safety, and Emergency Preparedness policies and procedures;
Taking an active role in OHSC;
Developing improved tracking, reporting and documentation systems;
Assisting with permit approvals and applications;
Managing internal and external auditing requirements.
You are a Certified Registered Safety Professional who has 7 - 10 years' experience in a related field with at least 3 years at the management level. In addition, you are equipped with strong technical writing, verbal communication, and Microsoft Office skills. You are a master at organization and administration.
Mining industry experience, Mine Rescue, and expertise as First Aid instructor would be considered an asset.
