Salary of $75,000 to $85,000
Location: West GTA, Travel across Canada
Our client, an industry leader, is looking for a Health and Safety Manager to join their team. This role will have responsibility for their H & S program on a national level and there is a heavy emphasis on training and educating staff at all levels. The specific accountabilities and responsibilities are below, but along with these requirements a ‘fit’ with the organization is essential. The right candidate has solid interpersonal skills, the ability to influence and persuade and is comfortable leading discussions both one on one and in group settings.
Responsibilities:
Auditing of the program at a Head Office and Satellite Office Level.
Continuous Improvement of both the program and the knowledge/empowerment of employees.
Organization and Planning from both a strategic and administrative perspective.
Training – both delivering internally and identifying needs for external training.
Using analysis and reports to identify trends and enact changes.
Chairing the Joint H & S Committee.
Qualifications:
7+ years experience being a H & S “champion”.
Degree/Certification in H & S; CRSP a definite asset.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to travel across Canada.
