Supervisor, Return to Work & Work Accommodation Services
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, strategic, innovative supervisor with occupational health nursing experience who has created positive organizational change in workplace disability management programs. Reporting to the Manager, Health, Safety and Wellness, you will co-ordinate professional and administrative section responsibilities for STD, LTD and WSIB claims management, provide leadership to team members, manage projects, deliver training and implement and administer related policies and procedures to ensure the early and safe return to work of injured/ill employees. You bring knowledge of the theories and principles related to disability management acquired through education and experience in occupational health nursing and RTW case management. A progressive, leadership track record in work accommodation, return-to-work/abilities management and employee health management, using a functional or abilities-based disability management model, is also essential. Your solid grasp of HR processes and disability management in a unionized environment is complemented by a good understanding of income protection policies, attendance support management plans, relevant employment and privacy legislation and the Ontario Human Rights Code.
