I got a quick question. My employer is insisting that he needs the originals (FAF) forms.
Can I just give him a copy and keep the originals for my personal file? Thank you!

Sylvain,

Did Yoy initiate the FAF, or did they? If they initiated it, courtesy says they get the original. If you initiated the FAF action, then you might have a leg to stand on regarding the original. However, your relationship with the employer is bad enough already. They do not "trust" a copy. The doctor will send a copy to WSIB, so the "truth" verification copy is with the regulator anyway.

It might be best for you to take a copy for yourself and send the FAF originals to the employer. It can't hurt to agree with them on this one, but it is ultimately your decision.... You should probably extend the "olive branch" and try to start salvaging the relationship.

Check it out (there is no specific rule in these references):
