Junior Ergonomist
Start date: ASAP
Duration: Contract (approximately 11-12 months)
Position Details
•Utilize the corporate database to track ergonomics issues and document modification activity
•Prepare required ergonomics reports and meet required due dates
•Train Engineers in the use of Ergonomics Line Balance Assessment (ELBA) and respond to the assessment results using the assist in designing ergonomically correct job layouts.
Description of Duties
•Lead ergonomic activity for current issues
•Drive the reduction of identified ergonomics issues.
•Resolve identified ergonomics issues in a timely manner by leveraging relationships and driving accountability / action
Required Skills and Abilities
•Proficient in computer skills: Lotus Notes, MS Office (Excel, Word, Project, etc).
•Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
•Demonstrated high level of analytical ability and ability to solve problems.
•Ability to work shifts and overtime as required.
•Demonstrated skills in working with a diverse group and in motivating people.
•Demonstrated ability to achieve results within a team environment with minimal supervision.
•Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical concepts.
Education and/or Training, Experience
•Applicable University Degree (Human Factors or Ergonomics preferred)
•Recognized Ergonomics certification preferred (i.e. AE, CCPE)
