About the Opportunity
The Casman Group of Companies is looking for an experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental Advisor to join their team in Fort McMurray.
Reporting to the HSE Manager, the HSE Advisor has the primary on-site role in preventing workplace accidents. The aim of this role is to utilize professional judgment in assessing risk, reviewing risk, reviewing work practices, and determining the best practice to achieve compliance with regulatory standards. Some of your duties will include conducting audits, safety reviews, and accident investigations. You will schedule safety/quality meetings, risk/hazard assessments, and conduct a variety of standard and ad-hoc reports.
The ideal candidate will be a Certified National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO), or hold other recognized safety certification. Having an Occupational Health and Safety Certificate would be an asset.
You will have experience in the industrial or construction industry and have excellent knowledge of the concepts and principles of quality, health and safety, and environment.
