Canada Labour Standards (Canada Labour Code (Part III)): SOR/2009-194 amends subsections 19(6), 24(2), s. 29 and schedule II regarding continuity of employment for the benefit of reservists.
Domestic Substances List (Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999): SOR/2009-135 deletes 2 substances from Part 1 and adds 2 substances to Part 2. Metal Mining Effluent Regulations (Fisheries Act): SOR/2009-156 amends definitions in s. 1 and adds item 15, Sandy Pond, Newfoundland and Labrador, to schedule 2.
ALBERTA
ACTS
Public Health Act: S.A. 2009, c. 13 amends the act to repeal and replace sections 66 (Regulations) and 74 (Publishing reports and order). Section 18.1 (Disclosure of Information) has been added to the Act.
REGULATIONS
Building Code Regulation (Safety Codes Act): Alta. Reg. 49/2009 amends the regulation to add a schedule in addition to a few other amendments. This regulation now expires on November 30, 2014.
Commercial Vehicle Certificate And Insurance Regulation (Traffic Safety Act): Alta. Reg. 121/2009 amends the regulation to reflect the creation of the new Commercial Vehicle Safety Regulation. Section 18 (Exceptional transportation of passengers) has been repealed. Section 26.1 (Passenger hazard insurance for school bus) has been added.
Commercial Vehicle Dimension and Weight Regulation (Traffic Safety Act): Alta. Reg. 121/2009 amends the regulation. Amongst other changes, section 13 (Licence of occupation road) has been repealed and replaced.
Oil Sands Conservation Regulation (Oil Sands Conservation Act): Alta. Reg. 93/2009 amends the regulation to reference Directive 074 (Tailings Performance Criteria and Requirements for Oil Sands Mining Schemes). Sections 24.1 (Storage and disposal), 28.1 (Dedicated disposal area plan) and 32.1 (Other reports) have been added and section 47 (In situ scheme reports) has been repealed and replaced.
Pressure Welders Regulation (Safety Codes Act): Alta. Reg. 79/2009 amends the regulation by repealing and replacing section 12 (Grade C equivalents) and parts of sections 8 (Expiry dates), 9 (Qualifications, Examinations and Equivalencies), 10 (Grade C certificate examination) and 21. Section 9.1 (Grade C equivalents) has been added.

Forest Act: S.B.C. 2007, c. 36 is in force so far as the Forest Act is concerned. Amendments have been made throughout the act to reflect the powers of first nation governmental bodies. Sections of S.B.C. 2007, c. 18 are now in force and amend the act to add a definition for “allowable annual cut available” as well as consequential amendments which reflect the addition of this definition. Section 8.1 (Adjusting the allowable annual cut) has been added to the Act. Section 151 is amended to add subsections 1(a.1) and (a.2). Sections of S.B.C. 2008, c. 20 (Greenhouse Gas Reduction (Emission Standards) Statues Amendment Act, 2008) are now in force. S.B.C. 2009, c. 8 amends the act to eliminate community forest pilot agreements, long-term community forest agreements and probationary community forest agreements. Amendments throughout reflect this. Sections 43.41 (Transition for community forest pilot agreements and probationary community forest agreements), 46.2 (Consolidation of woodlot licenses) and 75.61 (Reconciliation of cut control for woodlot licenses) have been added to the act.

Sections of S.B.C. 2009, c. 2 are now in force. In addition to other provisions, sections 25.01 (Retention or seizure of records) has been added to the act. Other
sections are amended to deal with licenses that indicate Canadian citizenship. Section 26.1 has been amended to allow the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia to cancel a driver's licence where fraud has been used in the application for a license.
Workers’ Compensation Act: S.B.C. 2009, c. 7 amends sections 6.1 and the definition for "occupational disease" to include primary site lung cancer as an occupational disease for firefighters. A previous transitional section has been repealed and a new transitional section (Transition - Workers Compensation Act - occupational disease presumptions for firefighters) has been added to the act.
NEW BRUNSWICK

Clean Environment Act: S.N.B. 2002, c. 25 is now in force which makes several amendments, primarily to s. 1 (definitions), s. 5 (ministerial orders), s. 5.2 (recovery of costs), s. 24 (powers of inspectors) and s. 32 (regulations).
Motor Vehicle Act: S.N.B. 2008, c. 33 (except for subsection 2(e) which comes into force 01/10/09) is now in force amending several sections relating to novice drivers: ss. 78, 84, 86(1), 87, 91, 98(1), 297(2), 310.02, 310.03 and schedule A. S.N.B. 1996, c. 39 is also repealed.
Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Commission Act: S.N.B. 2009, c. F-12.5, s. 62 is in force adding the definition of “disability fund” to s. 1, and references to the Firefighters’ Compensation Act and the “Disability Fund” are added throughout the Act. S.N.B. 2007, c. 75 (An Act to Amend the Workers’ Compensation Act), is repealed.

An Act respecting industrial accidents and occupational diseases: 2009, c. 19, s. 28 is now in force which replaces s. 38 of 2006, c. 53 which adds s. 315.5 to the Act regarding communication of information related to payment of assessments.

Environment Act: S.Y. 2009, c. 9 corrects wording in subsection 151(1).
Smoke_Free Places Act: S.Y. 2009, c. 9 corrects the numbering of s. 11 by creating s. 11.1.

Beverage Container Regulations (Environment Act): O.I.C. 2009/95 amends wording and also amends s. 11 (application of the Financial Administration Act) and subsection 14(2) (onus of proof).
Drinking Water Regulation (Public Health and Safety Act): O.I.C. 2009/120 replaces the definition of “well water under the direct influence of surface water” in s. 1, amends the wording in subsection 43(b)(i), replaces subsection 81(1) (samples taken by owners) and replaces schedules B and C (sampling requirements).
