Company Overview
We are actively recruiting for an exceptional Health & Safety Manager for our client who is a very well established, well respected and growing general contractor located in the GTA. They work on a wide range of interesting industrial, commercial, institutional, high-rise residential and municipal infrastructure projects that are approximately $40M -200M in construction value. Our client is dedicated and extremely diligent in continuous improving their health and safety program and as a result, they have won awards for their safety practices.
Position Overview
The candidate must have a background in the area of Health and Safety with experience working for a General Contractor
Proven experience in managing all aspects of a Occupational Health and Safety Program for a general contractor, including developing a safety plan for projects in collaboration with Project Managers and Site Superintendents
Direct experience in conducting full investigations of accidents
A career-oriented health and safety professional who is interested in continuing to grow their career with a progressive organization
Strong leadership qualities with a confident and assertive demeanor. Ability to establish credibility with both the workforce and management
An individual who is passionate about health and safety and who strives to develop new and innovative ways to help the company improve their programs and systems, with full support of management
Travel is required within the GTA; regular travel from site-to-site
Compensation is competitive
