Occupational Hygienist
Occupational Health & Safety Group

The Winnipeg office is currently recruiting for the position of Occupational Hygienist to join the Occupational Health & Safety Group. The overall responsibilities for this position include:
Responsibilities & Attributes:
• Developing OH&S policies, programs and procedures
• OH&S auditing
• Conducting occupational hygiene surveys including on-site sampling and report preparation
• Developing and delivering OH&S training courses
• Implements industrial hygiene program
• Conducts hazard analysis, Hazards Operability Studies and participates in Job Hazard Analysis
• Preparing proposals
• Assisting in the client billing process
• Maintaining and enhancing quality control within the group
Qualifications:
An appropriate Science or Engineering-related designation, degree or diploma is required. In addition, all applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role either industry or consulting field. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong identity in the Health & Safety industry and certification as a CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional). Knowledge of and a thorough understanding of relevant legislation, especially the Occupational Health and Safety Act is required. The ideal candidate will form productive and sustainable relationships with our business contacts in the community and drive client growth and business development, consistent with customer profiles reflected in the market development strategy. Must have strong interpersonal, presentation and team building skills and shall possess a high level of oral and written communication skills to be successful in this role. A valid driver’s license, insurance & personal vehicle is required (work-related travel expenses will be compensated).
