Hi

What resources have you used to develop and implement your pandemic preparedness plan?

In addition, I have the following additional questions wrt pandemic preparedness plan:

a) Does anyone have a template regarding what a company should do wrt each WHO's pandemic alert levels? Have you found the template useful?

b) Does anyone have a sample template of the protocol they use to manage people who are sick due to pandemic illnesss? ..or do you recommend the protocol, found in Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters's Influenza Pandemic: Continuity Planning Guide for Canadian Business "3.6 Policies for Exposed Employees"

Thank-you in advance.

Cheers,
Sarah

We as a federal employer used the advice provided by Health Canada (PHAC specifically) as our guide. The pandemic plan is a part of our business continuity plan so we had measures in place and are now adding directions/references, through a consultant, so that managers in the future will have easy access to some questions. As for resources, we use the ICS structure with daily calls/meetings.

We are a hospital in Toronto. We follow the Ontario Health Plan for Influenza Pandemic (OHPIP). We also had some guidance from a group Toronto area hospitals that work together. The OHPIP can be found at:
