On behalf of our client we are recruiting for a Manager of Safety to join this prestigous oil and gas related organisation. This is a newly created position which will report to the Vice President.
This is a management role, not a safety consulting role. This environment is currently operating very efficiently so we are not looking for someone to come in with the expectation of overhauling policies and procedures, but rather to lead the existing team (3-5) of safety professionals.
Candidates must have at least 10-15 years of safety experience with at least 3-4 years of management experience within a safety team. Safety certification (CRSP or equivalent) is also required and we prefer a Degree. The best-fit personality is one strong enough to challenge the boss, yet accommodating enough to understand anothers perspective and carry on with existing projects and plans. Candidates must be very professional leaders with an open and friendly personality.
Must Have Skills:
1. 10-15 years of Safety experience
2. 3-4 years of leading Safety teams
3. Safety Certification (CRSP or equivalent)
4. Professional presentation, strong leadership and team skills
5. Solid Project Management skills
6. Strong preference for Oil and Gas producer experience
Nice to Have Skills:
1. Degree
2. Oil and Gas
