I was wondering how companies are developing and managing their OHS budgets in these economical times.
Is the OHS budget being slashed or staying the same or increasing? If so, by how much?
Where are you making the cuts? are OHS positions being eliminated? are OHS positions being merged with HR positions? is training budgets being cut? are you hiring more contractors? is there a specific area of OHS being cut? ie high risks are priority only. Is the OHS position the last one being laid off?
What difficulties are you having with your budget being slashed? how is employee safety being affected?
