My name is Terry Beckett and I am the safety officer for a company in Edmonton, Alberta that takes mould and asbestos and other nasty contaminants out of buildings.

I have been in the safety role for many years, working on comercial constructions sites, writing safety training programs to the Oil Sands Safety Associations standards (the programs are good, the matrix is a nightmare:() and teaching confined space, whmis, fall protection and so on. I am currently working to get my NCSO and ensuring that the company I work for achieves their Certificate of Recognition from the Alberta Construction Safety Association.

This forum will hopefully grow into an awesome resource for those of us in the safety business and I am looking forward to reviewing the new posts and throwing difficult questions out there for your opinion.

Happy Ukranian Christmas
