Does anyone have a procedure for working/operating personal gas monitoring equipment after -20C. The manufacturer says don't use the equipment after -20C but thats not possible in Alberta's climate. Anybody have any suggestions?

An idea might be to use cholormetric tubes. simply they are a glass vile which contains a powder that will change colour when exposed to certain gasses. they can be purchasd for any type of gas. the down side is there will be no alarm.

Mroy:

Thanks for the post - But most personal monitors are good to -20C so I wonder why they would call the example you sent "Cold Climate". We use the MicroAlert by BW and it is good to -20C. I wonder what can be used at -30C or colder or if somebody has a cold climate procedure or something.
